My Top 4 Favourite Podcasts
In this post, I am going to share with you my current favourite top 4 podcasts. I’m really excited to share my list with you because over the years I have learned so much from listening to podcasts. I remember when my sister first introduced me to them I was like a child in a sweet shop, picking different ones to listen to as I was working at my desk or driving.
I have put together the names of the podcasts, a description, why I enjoy listening to them and all the links so you can subscribe and listen in too.
1. AskPat: Your Online Business, Blogging, Marketing and Lifestyle Design Questions Answered Daily!
Pat Flynn says he is a regular guy who happens to be a successful online entrepreneur. Pat also has another podcast show called Smart Passive Income. He is the author of the following books – Will It Fly?: How to Test Your Next Business Idea So You Don’t Waste Your Time and Money and Let Go I have read Will It Fly, and I highly recommend it for anyone who is thinking of starting a business.
Each episode features an actual question submitted by a business owner or someone who is starting up. What I love, yes love, about AskPat is that people will ask a variety of questions and Pat will answer. I listen in daily and often someone will ask a question to do with a business that sets a light bulb off in my head. Pat answers each question in as much depth as possible and points listeners to further tools and resources that they can access in relation to the question that was asked. Another cool feature with AskPat is that everyone who submits a question that he answers gets a free t-shirt. I have not yet asked Pat a question but I plan to.
What you will learn from AskPat is online business, entrepreneurship, internet marketing, audience building, passive income, blogging, list building, virtual assistants, start-ups, search engine optimisation, email marketing and so much more.
2. Online Marketing Made Easy with Amy Porterfield
Amy Porterfield shows you exactly how to monetise your online marketing and blogging efforts using her own tested, actionable lead generation strategies. Amy’s podcasts often feature guests who share information on how they launched a program, the challenges they faced and how they overcame them. Rick Mulready has been on Amy’s podcast – he is the go-to-guy on Facebook ad strategies.
What I love most about Amy’s podcast is that each episode teaches the listener a lesson and she offers a free downloadable worksheet with each one. When I listen to Amy’s podcast I make sure I have my notebook handy as I always learn something new. Amy also offers various courses – I have done her list builders lab training course and give it 10/10. What I learned on that course I have implemented in my business.
What you will learn from Amy’s podcast is how to create an online course, video marketing, webinar recording, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, new content creation (including eBooks, guides and cheat sheets) and email marketing.
3. The MFCEO Project by Andy Frisella
The MFCEO Project is for anyone who is sick of the fluffy unicorn and rainbows style of talking about pursuing goals and profiting in business. The MFCEO project features sidekick Vaughn Kohler and each week he interviews guest entrepreneur millionaires who share their lessons for success.
I’ve been listening to The MFCEO for about three months and what I will say to you parents who plan to listen to it – have your headphones on, no loudspeaker for this podcast (haha). Andy keeps it so real, he puts you in check as well as motivating you with thought-provoking phases. On days when I might feel unmotivated, I re-listen to The MFCEO episodes – trust me I soon feel motivated again.
4. Soulful PR Podcast with Janet Murray |PR|Marketing|Social Media
Janet Murray has spent fifteen years writing and editing for national newspapers and magazines such as The Guardian, Telegraph, Independent, Times, Sun and Daily Mail. Janet Murray is my go-to person for all things to do with PR. I have attended Janet’s ‘Your Year In PR’ 1-day workshop, I bought her media diary and book Your Press Release is Breaking My Heart. Oh yes, did I mention I am also in her Facebook group, which I might add has an awesome community.
What you will learn from this podcast is how to get PR for your business that will help you grow your email list, social media followers and client list. You’ll hear inspiring interviews with entrepreneurs who are using traditional PR alongside blogging, webinars, email marketing and social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and YouTube to attract leads and grow their business. If you’re an entrepreneur wanting to get coverage in newspapers, magazines, and on radio & TV, this is for you.
